Both BlueChew and Hims can help you save on your ED pills, but comparing the two, which is better? Consider this your ForHims versus BlueChew review!

Erectile Dysfunction Overview

Erectile dysfunction is estimated to affect approximately 50 percent of men at some point in their lifetimes, but despite how common the condition is, it can still be embarrassing to talk about or seek medical advice for. Symptoms of erectile dysfunction may be mild at first, but they typically get worse over time as men get older.

The onset of erectile dysfunction is heavily influenced by lifestyle factors such as drinking too much alcohol, using illegal drugs, being overweight, not getting enough exercise, or using certain prescription medications that cause erectile dysfunction as a side effect, especially drugs for high blood pressure due to their effect on blood flow.

BlueChew vs. Hims Erectile Dysfunction Products

BlueChew and Hims both offer erectile dysfunction prescriptions for men via a tele-healthcare service. While both companies offer erectile dysfunction treatments, the products offered by each website differ.

Five different treatments for erectile dysfunction are available from Hims, including Viagra, sildenafil (generic Viagra), Cialis, tadalafil (generic Cialis), and Stendra. The company offers Cialis and tadalafil through a monthly prescription for daily use, while sildenafil, Viagra, and Stendra are sold by the dose for use on an as-needed basis. Each medication is available in only one dose or strength, such as 20 mg tablets of sildenafil, 50 mg tablets of Viagra, etc. Each of the products offered by Hims work slightly differently for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Hims Sildenafil Offer

Stendra is a fast-acting brand name prescription medication for ED treatment that is taken on a as-needed basis. Stendra is the fastest acting ED med, and the medication can take effect in as little as 15 minutes. As a result, Stendra is a good choice for men who want to have more spontaneous sex than what is possible with drugs like Viagra.

Viagra and sildenafil are relatively fast-acting prescription erectile dysfunction medications. These drugs take effect in about 30 to 60 minutes, which means they work more slowly than Stendra. Viagra and sildenafil can be taken up to four hours before sex if a man anticipates sexual intercourse but is not sure exactly when it will occur. Viagra and sildenafil are used on an as-needed basis and should not be taken more frequently than once every 24 hours. Sildenafil is the generic form of Viagra, but the drugs work the same way and are equally effective because they contain the same active ingredients. Sildenafil is less expensive and may have different inactive ingredients that do not affect the effectiveness or safety of the medication.

Cialis and tadalafil from Hims work differently than Stendra, Viagra, and sildenafil. While Cialis and tadalafil can be taken on an as-needed basis, Hims offers a daily version of the drug at a lower dose. When used on a daily basis, Cialis and tadalafil allow for more spontaneous sex. Cialis and tadalafil leave your system more slowly than Stendra, Viagra, and sildenafil, so men who take prescription drugs that interact with Cialis or tadalafil may not be able to use the medication long term.

Hims ED Pills

BlueChew’s product offerings for erectile dysfunction are quite different than those of Hims. BlueChew offers only sildenafil and tadalafil, but it does not sell the commercial forms of the drugs. Instead, BlueChew specializes in creating chewable compounded treatments that use the same active ingredients as commercial drugs. These compounded treatments are created for men who cannot tolerate commercially available pills, want to avoid an in-person consultation with a doctor, and want to improve their chance of getting and keeping an erection hard enough for sexual activity.

Sildenafil chewable treatments from are available in strengths of 30 mg or 45 mg. Tadalafil chewable treatments from BlueChew are available in strengths of 6 mg to 9 mg.

It should be noted that the chewable compounded treatments available from BlueChew are not independently approved by the FDA in chewable form, but they use the same active ingredients used in FDA-approved medications like Viagra, sildenafil, Cialis, and tadalafil.

BlueChew vs. Hims Cost

Hims and BlueChew both offer some erectile dysfunction medications, including sildenafil, by the dose. Hims also offers other erectile dysfunction medications on a monthly prescription basis. The differences between the two companies in terms of cost are outlined below.

Hims offers sildenafil, Viagra, and Stendra on a per-dose basis. Sildenafil can be purchased from as little as four dollars per use, while Viagra is available from 70 dollars per use due to the higher costs associated with the brand name. Stendra is sold for as little as 35 dollars per use. The cost of each of these drugs varies depending on the amount ordered, which is specified as part of the patient’s consultation.

In addition to offering erectile dysfunction treatments by the dose, Hims also offers tadalafil and Cialis in the form of a monthly prescription, as the medication is intended for daily use. A monthly prescription of tadalafil costs 240 dollars per month with Hims, while a monthly prescription of brand name Cialis costs 570 dollars per month.

There is no cost associated with a telehealth consultation through Hims, and delivery with discreet packaging is free. Men pay for the cost of their medication only.

Hims Tadalafil

BlueChew does not offer erectile dysfunction medication on a 30-day monthly prescription basis the way that Hims does for tadalafil and Cialis. Instead, the company offers sildenafil and tadalafil chewable compounded treatments based on ordering in a specific quantity for your monthly prescription.

Sildenafil is available in monthly quantities of 6, 10, 17, and 34 chewable tablets. Six tablets containing 30 mg of sildenafil costs 20 dollars per month, while the same quantity containing 45 mg of sildenafil costs 30 dollars per month. Ten tablets at a dose of 30 mg costs 30 dollars per month, while a 45 mg dose at the same quantity costs 40 dollars per month. An order of 17 tablets at the 30 mg strength costs 50 dollars per month, while the same quantity at a 45 mg strength costs 65 dollars per month. Finally, 34 tablets at the 30 mg strength costs 90 dollars per month, while the 45 mg strength costs 120 dollars per month.

The pricing of Tadalafil is similar to sildenafil but comes in different strengths and quantities. Chewable compounded tadalafil is available from BlueChew in monthly quantities of 4, 7, 14, and 28 tablets. Four tablets containing 6 mg of tadalafil costs 20 dollars per month, while the same quantity containing 9 mg of tadalafil costs 30 dollars per month. Seven tablets at a dose of 6 mg costs 30 dollars per month, while a 9 mg dose at the same quantity costs 40 dollars per month. An order of 14 tablets at the 6 mg strength costs 50 dollars per month, while the same quantity at a 9 mg strength costs 65 dollars per month. Finally, 28 tablets at the 6 mg strength costs 90 dollars per month, while the 9 mg strength costs 120 dollars per month.

Like Hims, BlueChew also offers a free online consultation, and shipping is included in the cost of the monthly subscription service.

Hims and BlueChew are both telehealth services for men, and both offer erectile dysfunction treatments, but the target audiences for each company are different.

Hims focuses on overall men’s health and wellness issues and offers commercially available erectile dysfunction treatments in addition to treatments for other common men’s health issues, including hair loss, premature ejaculation, or other conditions.

By contrast, BlueChew only offers prescriptions for erectile dysfunction treatment for men who cannot tolerate commercially available formulations of erectile dysfunction medications.

Both companies offer men a variety of options in terms of the quantity of the medication that they would like to order, and both can help men save money on their erectile dysfunction medications. Hims is available in all 50 states, while BlueChew is not yet available in Alabama, Idaho, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Carolina due to differing laws surrounding telemedicine and pharmacies.

Regardless of which company you choose for your erectile dysfunction pills, you will have a better chance of getting and keeping an erection hard enough for sex than you would without the drugs, and at a lower cost than a traditional pharmacy.
