He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Chicago State University in 2017 and then went on to complete his PGY-1 residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. After residency, he was hired on as a faculty member of Roosevelt Univrersity College of Pharmacy. Tom eared his board certification in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and ambulatory care (BCACP) in 2019. He is also a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES). He enjoys volunteering in his community and works with underserved communities to promote health and quality of care.
