Brittany is the Founder and CEO of Banner Medical and a native of the Chicago-land-area in Illinois. Banner Medical combines her passion for writing with her medical background as a pharmacist; with the goal of improving patient outcomes through educating healthcare providers. Brittany is an expert in the development of needs assessments, continuing education, and scientific writing. With over a decade of experience in community pharmacy, Brittany can tailor and deliver any medical communication project you have in a balanced, accurate, and timely manner.
Brittany earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Drake University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in 2012. After graduate school, she completed a Post-Graduate-Year-1 Community Pharmacy Residency where she earned her teaching-and-learning certificate, dedicated herself to patient-centered pharmacy care, and learned the business of pharmacy
Tomasz (Tom) is a medical writer for Banner Medical, LLC, and a current resident of Chicago. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Chicago State University in 2017 and then went on to complete his PGY-1 residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. After residency, he was hired on as a faculty member of Roosevelt Univrersity College of Pharmacy. Tom eared his board certification in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and ambulatory care (BCACP) in 2019. He is also a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES). He enjoys volunteering in his community and works with underserved communities to promote health and quality of care. Tom enjoys staying active by running, biking, and hiking.
Kaylea is a medical writer for Banner Medical, LLC, and is a native of Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University in 2012. She is passionate about educating and helping others and is excited to have the opportunity to share those passions through medical writing. After college, Kaylea went on to work as a community pharmacist, serving both as a Staff Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager for 4 years. Currently, she works as a Product Vigilance Manager looking at post-market safety data for a large pharmaceutical company. Kaylea spends her free time with her husband, young son and two adorable miniature schnauzers.
Dylan is a Medical Writer for Banner Medical, LLC, and is a lifelong Michigan resident. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan in 2020. Dylan is currently a Post Graduate Year-1 resident at The Detroit Medical Center Sinai-Grace Hospital, where he has continued his passion of assisting underserved communities. Dylan is interested in pursuing a career in the therapeutic areas of oncology and immunology. During his free time, Dylan enjoys playing basketball, being outdoors, and spending time with his friends and family.
Karen is a medical writer for Banner Medical, LLC, and currently resides in Fair Lawn, NJ. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2001. Karen has experience in chain and independent community pharmacy, as well as medical writing and editing for a variety of publications and websites. She enjoys blogging and writing about all aspects of pharmacy and educating patients on medications. Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cheering her daughters on at basketball and softball games and tournaments, and cheerleading competitions.
