For The First Time In A Long Time: Approval For A New Prescription Eczema Medication

For The First Time In A Long Time: Approval For A New Prescription Eczema MedicationSay No More To Eczema Symptoms

Pfizer was recently granted approval, from the FDA, for Eucrisa, a non-steroidal ointment, to treat symptoms of eczema. People suffering from symptoms such as itching, scaly skin, and red bumps, had not had a new prescription option available in at least ten years. Now, anyone 2 years of age, or older, is capable of receiving relief from these mild, to moderate symptoms, by way of Eucrisa.

Eczema symptoms can occur from many different types of skin conditions, and distinguishing the differences, is not always the easiest of tasks. Some skin conditions that cause eczema include…

  • Atopic Dermatitis- One of the most common forms of eczema that usually starts early in life. The face, feet, hands, back of legs, and inner arms are common places for Atopic dermatitis to occur.
  • Allergic Contact Dermatitis- Repeated exposure to a substance over time, causes the immune recognition system to malfunction, resulting in eczema. Poison Oak, and Poison Ivy allergies are examples of Allergic contact dermatitis.

There are at least 9 other skin conditions that cause some form of eczema, and anyone that has ever suffered from any of them, knows that the symptoms are no fun. Thankfully, Eucrisa has been approved, and it is now a viable option for treating symptoms of eczema.

It Is Always Nice To Have Options

This product being approved is huge for eczema sufferers. Having limited options available to treat eczema is not acceptable. The symptoms produced can be almost unbearable at times, and although one prescription may work for 99 out of 100 people, what about the other 1 person. They are entitled to receive relief from these excruciatingly uncomfortable conditions as well, but before now, other options were not available. If you suffer from eczema, express your desires to learn more about Eucrisa, with your doctor, and ask your pharmacist if the USA Rx pharmacy discount card can save you money on the prescription.
